Game – Alphabet Scavenger Hunt

You know the scenario… you’re in charge of the kids … you have to keep them occupied and you’re trying to think of something that will interest both them (and you)…

Here’s something that I used on the weekend to keep Book Boy and his cousin occupied for A WHOLE HOUR while exercising their brains!

We were in a conservation area for a birthday party.  I handed them my digital camera (it’s old enough that they’d actually be doing me a favour by breaking it…) then told them to take 26 pictures with each picture starting with a different letter of the alphabet.  Some of the more interesting items they came up with were:

-a picture of the landscape (O for Ontario)

-a very unflattering picture of myself (U for Uncle)

-a tiny patch of green on the bark of an old tree (M for Moss)
