Beyblade Rules and Strategies (for Parents)
Your child asks you if you want to play Beyblades…
You agree after several minutes of convincing…
You know you want to win…
Here are the strategies I’ve researched on the Internet to (eventually) teach Book Boy how to master Beyblades!
Official Rules
Don’t let your kids trick you, here are the Official Rules courtesy of this site:
-All official BEYBLADE battles must occur in the Beyblade BEYSTADIUM! The first to 7 points is the WINNER!
-To begin your Beyblade battle, launch your Beyblade top after the official Beyblade signal: “3,2,1 LET IT RIP!”
-Competitors who delay the launch of their Beyblade after the signal of 3, 2 ,1 LET IT RIP! will automatically lose the battle.
-Your Beyblade must land in the Beyblade Stadium. If your Beyblade does not land in the Beyblade Stadium, your opponent is awarded a point.
-You may only launch your Beyblade once per round during battle – Battle will end and a winner declared when a Beyblade stops spinning. The winner is the Beyblader whose Beyblade defeats their opponents Beyblade and spins longest – The winner of each battle is awarded 1 point.
-If any player touches their opponents Beyblade during battle, the player will have 1 point deducted.
-Do not touch the Beyblade Beystadium during battle. Any player that touches the Beystadium during battle will forfeit that battle and their opponent awarded 3 points.
-If your Beyblade falls into one of the three penalty spots, your opponent is awarded 2 points – a maximum of 2 points may be awarded per battle.
-Remember Beybladers – First to 7 points wins!!!
Beyblade Types
BATTLE STRATEGIES
from Beyblade Spirit.
-Strategies include what type of Beyblade you will build + what launch technique you will use. The rest is down to how well you’ve done.
-The combination of Beyblade Type and Launching technique has a profound effect on the battle. There’s no point doing an attack type launch with a defensive Beyblade, you’ll be wasting your time. The blade would spin into the center from the side anyway.
-A strategy not only includes the Beyblade and launcher, but the Beyblader themselves.
Specific Strategy Examples:
Strategy against an Attack type: To beat an attack type your blade could have a heavy build defensive attack style (Defence/Attack). While your opponent’s blade spins around the stadium, yours will two, except yours will be heavier. Defensive and Endurance types can be sitting ducks in the center of the stadium against attack types.
Strategy against a Defence type: You’ll want a blade that can move fast and last (an Attack/Endurance type). Launch your blade at the right angle so it will move into the center numerous times, taking the Defence blade’s spin power each time.
Strategy against an Endurance type: You should build a blade that’s designed to knock out your opponent. (A strong Attack type) Make sure your blade doesn’t have too much attack power and launch it so it makes contact with the Endurance blade in the center.
Develop a combination of your own unique strategies.
Launchers
The launch is a key part of all Beybattles. Of the two launchers available, Light (with the rip-cord) and Bey (with the string) Launchers, the Bey launcher is the more powerful, creating a faster blade, while the Light Launcher is easier to aim. The speed and angle of your launch will depend on your blade.
Attack-minded players need as fast a launch as possible, which the Bey Launcher can offer. Don’t just launch horizontally; try different angles against different types of blades and see what best works for you. Combine it with a launcher grip and your aim will improve as well.
For Defense blades, positioning is all-important, especially if against the attack type. Use the Light Launcher to aim for the middle to ensure you can use what speed you have to stay spinning, rather than tearing around the arena. A grip will help steady your hand and give you a little more speed from the launch.
Stamina blades should use the Bey Launcher to get as much spin as they can. Combine it with the launcher grip to provide some stability. You don’t want it to move as much as an attack blade, but it needs to stay out of harm’s way.
Advanced Beyblade Tips
(for the Addicted Parent)
Ok, you’re now hooked (admit it…). Here are some key points from the above site that are valuable:
-When you launch your BEYBLADE top, make sure it is straight and don’t launch it too far away from the ground. That way, it should be straighter when it lands and it would take slightly longer for the blade to stop.
-Of the first couple of Metal Fusion Beyblade waves, Rock Leone and Storm Pegasus are the best straight out of the box. Although if you want stamina, then your best bet straight out of the box is Earth Eagle (Aquila) 145WD. If that’s not available then either Flame Libra or Flame Sagittario are common enough in the first couple of waves.

ha my dad try using these tips and i used my best strategy which is an aim of defense (counter leone is my blade) that makes it rip straight horizontally and will knock out an enemy blade from arena then turns and does same thing again instantantly destroying everything (besides my brothers japenese beyblade hel cabex defense type with biggest spin track out of all beyblades)
and really? its ok if he battles his kids or friends 13 times its not that much alot of battles are fast
Heh, my little brother who we call ginka is mad because kyoya and i use our double lion fang attack against him and knock his pegasus out, and jason, at least hes trying to be nice and blade with u.
