Back To My Roots

The demographics of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) make it one of the most multicultural cities in the world.  Data released by Statistics Canada as part of the 2006 census indicates that Toronto is more ethnically diverse than Miami, Los Angeles and New York City!  49.9% of Toronto’s population is foreign-born (intro from Wikipedia).

How can we, as first generation Incredible Dads, ensure that our kids know where their family has come from?  How can we teach them the language, tell them the stories and describe the history of their ancestors so that they know they’re standing on the ’shoulders of giants’?

Back To My Roots is our strategy to help you accomplish these goals.  Through a series of ongoing articles, IncredibleDad.com will give you the tips and tools necessary to start your child on the path to learning about, and appreciating, their heritage.  With this firm, cultural foundation, your child can go forward to claim their rightful place as a citizen of the world!  (yes… cue triumphant, orchestral music…)
